As I am fast approaching the age of 28, bless me, I have slowly begun to realize the precious things we had when we were 23, for example. The carefree spirit (college life rocks), the parties (endless), the unexplored mind (innocence, hahah) and of course, the fresh face and skin (how I long for it).
I used to never care about facial products and its seeming “benefits”. In fact, it was never in my list of priorities. Probably because I always (those days) blessed with problem-free skin, I never had problems such as acne, dryness, etc. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is called taking it for granted.
These days I’m scrambling on every single consumer website to reasearch on the best skin products in the market. After numerous days of surfing and surfing and trying and err-ing, I think I finally found a product that is suitable for me. The perfect moisturizer!
In the past few years I have developed combination skin, oily especially in the T-zone area, and my cheeks would sometimes would be flaky dry. It was so annoying. I started to realize that I need a moisturizer to hydrate my skin. I’ve tried a range of products from Estee Lauder, Eucerin, Clinique, Nivea, Neutrogena and some of them were actually ok but didn’t feel quite ‘right’ on my skin. Some of them were made me look so oily it was almost scary.
One day I stumbled upon the Olay range online. I started to research on Olay’s products which received fairly good reviews from other consumers. So I bought a bottle of the Olay White Radiance – UV Whitening Lotion SPF19 and tried it on. And just like a miracle, it instantly gave me an even tone after I applied it on my face. The tiny red spots and discoloration on my face seemed to reduce immediately. And the best part is, it did not make my face oily at all! That’s a plus plus point for me. In fact, it kind of controlled the oil on my face, giving it a matte-ish appearance. The only downside was that it can look whitish on your face, but once you blend it properly, it wouldn’t show much so it doesn’t really bother me.
I’m just thrilled to have found the perfect moisturizer for my skin! And I thought I wanted to share it with the world, especially those with oily skin similar to mine. I know every skin is different and maybe this product won’t work on certain people, but I definitely recommend it. Especially those with oily skin or combination skin. It’s definitely worth a try.
Love,
Lola
